Ratings: Blues 0-0 QPR

Blues played out a very dull goalless draw at home to QPR yesterday, in a very poor game between two teams devoid of any real quality. Blues mustered up only one shot on target throughout the whole game, a tame Lukas Jutkiewicz effort which trickled towards the goal. Here are my player ratings from the game.

Starting XI

Lee Camp - Man of the Match

Made a couple of good saves in the second half to keep Blues in the game when QPR managed to breach our back line. They are saves that you would expect a goalkeeper to make but they will do his confidence levels the world of good.

Maxime Colin

Not the usual Maxime Colin performance that we've come to expect from him over the last year. Struggled to get going from the start and looked to be taken off with an injury.

Michael Morrison

Had one scare early on after a stumble nearly put Nakhi Wells clean through but after that he battled well. Won a lot of the aerial balls hoofed up to him by the QPR keeper Lumley.

Harlee Dean

Dealt with the aerial threat of QPR well. Never looked like he was at risk of making a mistake throughout. There were a couple of pointless hoofed long balls to Jutkiewicz where we could have played it around a bit more.

Kristian Pedersen

Getting better and better as each game passes. Starting to read the game a lot better and can anticipate passes to give him a greater chance of intercepting them. Looks like a good addition to this Blues team.

Didn't get going like he has done in previous games. There were a few glimpses of his ability, especially in the second half, where he had managed to get through but sadly it came to nothing.

Gary Gardner

Continues to help improve the Blues midfield. He's made us much stronger in that area, his energy alongside Maikel Kieftenbeld is vital. Didn't have the chance to use the ball as much as he has done in previous games yesterday.

Maikel Kieftenbeld

A performance full of energy and commitment but not too much quality on the ball from the Dutch midfielder. His performance was summed up nicely in the second half when he created space from a throw in but then his return pass went straight out into the crowd.

Jacques Maghoma

Just like Jota, Maghoma really didn't get going. It wasn't through lack of trying but it just wasn't really working for him. Unfortunately when it's not working for Maghoma it doesn't really work for Blues lately.

Che Adams

Worked very hard for the team but it was a very difficult game for him. There weren't too many opportunities to get in behind a very strong QPR back line.

Lukas Jutkiewicz

Must have been fouled 3420 times yesterday... it felt like that anyway! Everytime the ball came forward he had the QPR centre halves wrestling him to the ground. Struggled to have the impact he's had on previous games.

Viv Solomon-Otabor
Came on and worked hard but didn't really get chance to run at the QPR defence.
Wes Harding
Came on for Maxime Colin and looked composed at Right Back.
Omar Bogle
Won a lot of aerial battles when he came on to try and push Blues forward for the winner.
