Preview: Blues v Ast*n V*lla
It's finally upon us, Bluenoses. The most highly anticipated second-city derby since the League Cup fixture in 2011. Blues haven't beaten the second most successful club in Birmingham this century in 14 league games - it's time for that dire streak to be put to the sword.
Hate’s a strong word, but…
My Mommy always taught me never to say the word 'hate'. Shouting, swearing, answering back and the word 'hate' were all off the table. "It's too strong a word" she'd say, "it's horrible and you should only ever use it if you really mean it". She'd teach us to say "dislike" instead.
On to derby day
It was always going to happen wasn’t it? New season, new manager, same result. Hull is a place where Blues just don’t win and Saturday was no different. Blues were defeated 2-0 at the KCOM Stadium thanks to a double from Jarrod Bowen. It wasn’t a particularly great performance from Garry Monk’s men in a game the home side dominated.

Loan signings are like Super Bowl halftime shows (This is my desperate attempt to link an article to current events, just go with it) After watching the same bunch of blokes chase a ball for what feels like forever, a new element arrives to re-energise proceedings and add a spark of excitement.
