More youngsters commit to Blues

The club has today announced the triple contract extensions of goalkeepers Adam Siviter and Michael Luyambula, as well as Irish defender Joe Redmond.

The club has today announced the triple contract extensions of goalkeepers Adam Siviter and Michael Luyambula, as well as Irish defender Joe Redmond.

Whilst both shot-stoppers have extended their deals until the end of the 2019/2020 season, Redmond has signed for another two years at the club.

Luyambula enjoyed a positive first half of the 2018/19 season, appearing 12 times between the sticks for Blues Under-23s, before signing on loan for National League South side Hungerford Town. The German keeper made 20 appearances during that loan spell, assisting in a successful relegation battle for the club.

Adam Siviter also spent last season out on loan, on the books of Northern Premier League side Stafford Rangers, making 21 appearances for the non-league side.

Unlike both keepers, Irish defender Redmond remained at the club throughout the entirety of the season, featuring 28 times for the Under-23s that finished runners-up in the Premier League Development North division.

The trio join Kane Thompson-Sommers, Ryan Burke, Mitch Roberts, Caolan Boyd-Munce, Ben Forrest, Zach Jeacock, Jack Concannon, George Baker, Olly McCoy, Jake Weaver and Remaeo Hutton in signing or extending pro-contracts with the club.

We also expect 19-year old defender Geraldo Bajrami, a prominent mainstay within the development squad last season, as well as midfielder Odin Bailey, who spent two months at National League South side Gloucester City before similarly featuring in the U23 squad, to extend their contracts within the coming days.
